Nguvu – Africanism Today E-book

Nguvu is the Swahili word for strength. The e-book is to celebrate the strength and resilience of the African woman. It will feature diverse stories from young African women about their achievements. Just 300 to 400 words detailing how they have turned managed turbulence to triumph despite all odds.

The e-book is part of the second edition of Africanism Today and this year’s focus is on African food, although the focus is just for the event and docu-film only. The goal of Africanism Today is to celebrate Africa through her arts and culture and debunk negative stereotypes associated with Africa. Through this e-book, we are not only doing that but raising a platform to inspire young people worldwide with everyday stories of African/ Black excellence. Please submit your entry to Entries close May 20th and the e-book will be published June 28th. You can submit an entry for a female you admire irrespective of age and gender. Please visit Africanism Today for more.
