Weekend Food Plan

Weekends are usually less stressful than weekdays because it is time for rest and I use this time to get the most out of my food especially when I don’t go out.

To avoid doing hard labour immediately after waking up, I make a smoothie bowl. The featured one contains banana and milk smoothie, with cashew, carrot and cherry toppings. The cherries don’t show because they are sunk in. This is a smoothie bowl that contains almost everything needed nutrient wise and keeps me full longer. It also helps give me the energy I need for Saturday morning chores.

Moi-moi and oats. I had bananas in the smoothie but I like eating oats with banana. I typically have beans but decided to switch things up last weekend.

Okro and vegetable soup with semolina. Semolina is a great and healthy option to have with soups.

Cabbage, carrot and coconut salad with eggs. I invented this recipe by chance and it is great for dinner especially post-workout because of the protein the egg offers. I wasn’t hungry when I ate it but I didn’t want to reach out for midnight snacks later, and it worked.
