I am writing this post with faith, believing there is an end to the current pandemic and people will want to go out after it is all over. For my second dine out of the year, before social distancing was required in Nigeria, I decided to go to Zolene Restaurant in Ikoyi. I got invited to their menu tasting. Unlike Eko Hotel, I’ve eaten in Zolene before and the experience was great but I notice they totally took off old options from their new menu and that broke my heart.
The Food
Since it was a menu tasting, we had everything on the menu. I will rate each item over 10 in the caption of the food photo. The rating covers the taste, texture and presentation.
By the end of the day, I was so full, I could hardly drink water.
The Ambiance
The restaurant is beautiful but it was poorly lit so this may be an advantage or disadvantage depending on what you want.
However, the garden space and outdoor dining makes up for it.
I’m going to add this to my list of restaurants to visit. Thank you.

Chei! This is so beautiful. I was in Ikoyi back in January and I could have dropped by if you published earlier… yes oo, we need to hope and pray for the end of this pandemic!
Thanks for sharing. After this, I’ll love to be invited for menu tasting too. 😋
