My Growth Retention Hair Care Regimen as a Busy Professional

Yay! Hope you enjoyed refreshing old posts with me for May. I’m going to be posting my updated hair care regimen. I cut my hair (before picture at the end) because it was hard to manage as I got very busy, however, I managed to grow about 5 inches from January to June. This regimen is subject to change but this is what works for me currently as a busy professional in the Nigerian (Lagos) climate, with 4b/4c hair, high-porosity and high-density hair trying to retain length. Mr Voyager’s Tales

I am running late to work today, for some reason, my alarm didn’t notify me. As I stand at the bus stop, I contemplate between taking a motorcycle to work or braving the traffic. I chose the latter, as I see a bus conductor shouting the fare at a cheaper rate. Like the proper Lagos girl I am, I clutch my bag properly and fight my way onto the bus.

Picture Consent and Social Media


Yesterday, I was at a wedding party when a little girl of about 3 (I think) tugged at my gown and wanted me to carry her. I looked up and saw her father smiling and gesturing that I could carry her. She is a cute baby; she smelt of coconut oil and vanilla extract so I didn’t put her down even when my arms started to ache.

MY FIRST POST!

This is the first post on my blog and I’m excited about it! I was born in Lagos, Nigeria to an Igbo father and Yoruba mother. I’m very proud of my heritage, as only a few people in this world can boast of having the rich genes of the Igbo and Yoruba people in one body. I like to describe myself as an ambivert since I don’t fit in either category of extrovert or introvert.

I was a precocious child and still have a little world in my head where I create awesome characters and magic. I’m creative, I love colours, mixing them, painting, creating art. I also love some other things which you will get to discover if you follow my blog. I was an inquisitive child, I was told I could ask anything like – why isn’t the sky black or green, must it be blue?
